The new HD Hero2 from GoPro offers additional field of view (FOV) settings over the original HD Hero. First up is the narrow setting (Hero2 only). Both GoPro’s were set on the highest resultion (1080) and mounted using the suction cup.
Video editing had been minimal and no adjustments have been made to either picture or sound quality.
The .mp4 file produced by the Hero2 is approx 33% larger than that generated by the Hero Original. Some picture quality is lost on video compression (from .MP4 to .wmv which reduces the file size to about 25% of the original .mp4 recorded by the Hero2) necessary for internet upload and viewing.
