This 10 week grand tour to Turkey over the summer of 2011 covered 11,000 miles through 23 countries. Part 1 is the route to Turkey via France (transit), Belgium (overnight), Netherlands (transit but only just and confirmed by the GPS tracks), Germany (overnight), Czech Republic (3 nights), Slovakia (overnight), Poland (3 nights), Slovakia (overnight again), Hungary (transit), Romania (9 nights) and Bulgaria (overnight).
