When it became apparent Cadel Evans would be the first Australian ever to win the Tour de France I booked a ticket for myself and the Family Truckster on the EuroTunnel early morning Le Shuttle and made my way to Paris for the final stage.  Taking my place about six rows deep on a very crowded Champs-Élysées I can proudly say I was there for this historic occasion.  After staying overnight in a nearby hotel, I made my way back to London the next day.  What an experience!
